I have been using shampoo bars for a couple of years now and like them but was still searching for a really good one. I had been researching them and came across JR Liggetts so decided to try it. I have salt and pepper curly hair which is very finicky about products. Well the first shampoo with the original shampoo bar was amazing! Good lather and it felt like it was clarifying my hair! I barely used any conditioner and my hair was less tangled and so soft! So far so good with this one! I hope it continues to improve my hair! Goes to show that sometimes simple things are better for you, less ingredients that you can identify! I do have a question about shelf life for these bars as I may want to stock up!

I have fine hair, colored half way, upper part including roots is untouched. I bought this shampoo bar during a trip hoping to take a remainder back with me. Unfortunately, this product didn’t work for me and I see several other reviews where people with similar hair types report similar results. The hair was left heavy, greasy, looked even dirtier than before the wash. For other types of hair it seems to work though.

We love this shampoo bar! It’s not only great for the environment (no plastic), but also is the best shampoo product out there. It somehow keeps my and my partner’s hair clean for days, which is amazing. 20 years ago I went into chemo and lost all my hair. My aunt sent me a bar of this shampoo thinking it would be good for my scalp. Well, I am cured of cancer AND still using this shampoo. During Covid I decided to stop using my usual bottled shampoo. Like some people here I tried using some no-poo methods but they left my hair dry and brittle. I advocate healthy products always. I was excited to try the shampoo bars. Here is my review. I have fine, colored hair and the color line I use is Natulique from Denmark a natural eco-friendly line. It made my hair feel very heavy almost like it was still dirty. Needless to say I am very disappointed because I am all for getting rid of bottles. I even have most of my clients on cleansing facial bars from india that are amazing. my daughters have not used thrirs yet . I even got each one a conditioning bar. My grandson”s hair does fine. He has short hair and curly. I will update with my daughters’ assesment. Each one has different hair.

Oh, my goodness, I love this! What I’d do is wet the bar, rub it between my wet palms a few times, and then shampoo my wet hair. Then, to work up a good lather, I’d get my hair a little more wet and boom, foam galore! When you do it this way instead of rubbing the bar directly to your scalp, the shampoo rinses off completely because you’re not overusing it. This is a REALLY good product. I was afraid to use it because my scalp is so sensitive, that anything can cause irritation, but the shampoo hasn’t caused any trouble at all. In fact, my scalp health has completely improved, and my hair is growing strong now! It is much more voluminous and bouncy, where it was previously so thin and limp (probably from all the sulfates and other irritants from the other mainstream shampoos that I used before the switch).

I would like a reply to Valerie T’s 8/30/21 review question: The only part I wonder about are the luttle white microbeads, the size of a small round seed. What are they?
I am using the original bar and also liking it, but will look for something else to avoid microplastics, as eliminating plastic was my main motivation for switching to a bar. My rating would go up to a 5 if I got an answer to this question that confirmed no plastic.

I am not sure what the little white “microbeads” are but I suspect that they are simply hardened
oils from the saponification process. They certainly are not plastic, this simply would not be possible.
We are very eco-conscious, completely detergents free, and have never been a proponent of plastic, most certainly
not in any of our products. Please rest assured that our shampoo bars are made from only the finest, natural,
