My first time trying a shampoo bar…I searched on the internet the best ones to try and JR Liggetts made the top of every search list. You can feel how clean your hair is after one use…and I was surprised at the massive amount of lather produced. These bars are small in my opinion and I was disappointed to start, then I used it. You barely use any at all…but the bar glides on clean and fast and lathers up really well. I’m hooked!

I have long, thick, coarse, wavy hair which can get frizzy really quickly, as well as an oily scalp. I have tried many shampoos from customized ones to ones specifically made for my hair type and nothing worked. My main problem was that the shampoo wouldn’t clean my hair and that I would have to sacrifice a clean scalp for frizz free hair. I found JR Liggett’s at our local feed/tack store and I thought I’d give it a go. I started off with the Moisturizing formula and conditioner and I did nothing to my hair for about a month except wash it. I noticed that my hair was visibly less frizzy every wash, and my scalp was clean. I also had no side effects like some people mention. Later, I decided to use the Coconut & Argan oil formula in the hopes of achieving less frizz. After washing my scalp was a smidge oily but I still continued use until I decided to find a new bar. I found the Jojoba and Peppermint formula and it is by far the best. My scalp is clean, my hair has natural anti-frizz properties and I genuinely think it helps with hair growth. By far the best shampoo I’ve ever tried.

I also have the most insanely sensitive skin and get both ingrown hairs on my head from the coarseness of my hair and breakouts from any conditioner or extra oil. So I have actually used JR Liggett’s bars for quite some time but initially it was really hard to find “the one” and I was pretty frustrated. I used the Coconut and Argan oil one first. BUT, it really just made my hair oily and gave me scalp buildup. (my hair is thick, mid-back length, and curly/wavy) I know this wasn’t just due to getting used to it because I had it for a long time. After that, I used the Tea tree and hemp bar. This one was slightly better but it made my hair EXTREMELY frizzy. Which was REALLY annoying because I have oilier hair and it just felt like a mess.
About a week ago I was going to order another bar and purely by mistake I ordered the Jojoba and peppermint bar. I DON’T REGRET IT ONE BIT! For me it was the perfect balance between hydration and cleaning. I have yet to use the Original, Hydrating, and Herbal bars but this has been the best for me so far. I don’t even feel the need to use conditioner which is great because less waste is what drew me into using the shampoo bar in the first place.
So if you are struggling with finding the best shampoo bar, I definitely recommend sampling!

I WANT TO GIVE THIS PRODUCT 5 STARS!! I have only been using the bar for the past few days and it’s been overall good. I dance and that causes me to wash my hair every night but from the past few times I used it it’s been good i have thicker wavy hair and when washing my hair I noticed that once you make a good lather and put it on your hair it go away and then my hair almost feels squeaky. It still gets the job done but I want to know if this is something normal. I do very much enjoy this product and will be purchasing it again

I bought this bar because it’s natural and plastic-free. The peppermint and jojaba has done wonders for my scalp, which was always somewhat itchy. Never occurred to me that I might have a dry scalp. I haven’t had any issues since switching to this. I also have curly hair, and this makes my hair feel moisturized and clean without getting that overly squeaky feeling. I love it.

Seriously the Best.
For the longest time I was searching for a more natural haircare routine that wouldn’t strip my hair of it’s natural oils and was just better for me in general. I first purchased a lush shampoo bar which contained SLS and I absolutely hated the way it stripped my hair. I then tried the Baking Soda/Vinegar no-poo method and after 2ish weeks realized how damaging it was for your hair. Then I switched to Morocco Method which simply did not work for me. New Favorite Shampoo
This shampoo transformed my hair. I have thin-medium thickness long hair, and it tends to get oily, but my scalp gets dry. I was skeptical to try this since it’s composed entirely of oil, but I’m glad I went for it. It hydrates my scalp without making it greasy, and it’s given my hair body it never had before. It doesn’t suds up or feel great in the shower, but trust that it works. No need for conditioner either!

I have been using only this product for three weeks now–no other shampoo, no conditioner, no mousse–and I feel as if this is the shampoo (and conditioner) I have been missing my entire life without realizing it. I work up a lather, wash it out, dry, and it looks lighter and fluffier than when I use mousse, and has fewer or no tangles than than I get with most of my conditioners. ( I should say that I have thin fine hair that gets oily every second or third day depending on diet.) I love this shampoo , I have thick long hair that gets oily easy and was always hard to brush after a bath,,, after the 3rd use of this bar I can brush my hair with ease when I get out of the shower it cleans deep down and leaves my hair clean for a long time , both my 6 and 3 yr old has always had flaky skin behind there ears and my sons scalp always looked dirty and had yellow residue on his scalp after using this soap just a few times both my kids scalps are completely clean and behind their ears cleared up and are nice and smooth now,,, this shampoo has worked amazingly, and since there is no need for conditioner it makes bath time faster and easier!!

I am obsessed with these bars! I have super thick, waxy, long hair that needs TLC. Regular shampoos and conditioners make my hair shed significantly every time I would wash it but not with these. Leaves my hair clean, shiny and bouncy. I will never stop buying these. The only downside to these is the waxy buildup that it can leave on your scalp after a significant amount of time. I recommend just using an all natural sulfate free liquid shampoo one to two times a month to “clarify” the hair to gently remove build up.

I found this by chance after going ‘no poo’ for a few months, and I will absolutely not go back to commercial shampoo ever again! This shampoo bar gives my hair shine, volume and a fresh scent, without any terrifying ingredients! I found that using a shampoo bar as opposed to a liquid shampoo actually is much more convenient! I love that it lathers, and lasts for ages ( I’ve had mine for around 3 months, 2 washes every week and still not finished )
